6D points and EOI

6D points and EOI’s “Date of effect”

New Point test table from 16 November 2019 for skilled migration program will be applied.

Brief changes are as follows;

  1. Nomination point for 491, 15 points (previous 489 10 points)
  2. Study in Regional area: 5 points
  3. Single 10 points, Partner with English (Competent) 5 points and Partner English and Skills 10 points

With new 6D points (eg: Single points) SkillSelect will automatically update points for all Expressions of Interest (EOI) in submitted status.  This will not change the ‘date of effect’ for any EOI according to IMMI’s September 2019 updates.

Systems functionality is on the way,  Partner and English or Partner with English and Skills will be there as well.

If you have current EOI then need to wait for Skillselect EOI’s update and follow it up.

With 16 November 2019 updates, followings are IMMI’s advice.

Single then automatic 10 points have same date of effect but who has partners with English/ Skills need to update it and your date of effect will change.   (Same for Regional study points.)

    If you wish to claim regional study points, due to the change in definition of Designated Regional Australia or claim points for having a spouse or de facto partner with ‘competent English’ you will need to update your EOI. Your date of effect for this EOI this will change if you choose to do so.

    SkillSelect will automatically update EOIs in ‘Submitted’ status to attribute any additional points, where the information was held in SkillSelect prior to 16 November 2019.
