AHPRA English for Registered Nurse

Want to become a nurse in Australia?

Generally, AIN(Assistant in Nursing), EN (Enrolled Nurse) and RN (Registered Nurse) are there in Australia. Assistant in Nursing does not require formal nursing course. For an enrolled nurse, you need to have Diploma of Nursing and for a registered nurse, you need nursing qualification at least bachelor level above.

AHPRA(Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)’s English requirement for registration is IELTS academic 7 in each and;

– 2 years validity
– IELTS, OTE, PTE Academic, TOFEL is possible
– Possible combination of 2 tests in 6 months
– 5 years study in English qualification

But most of the Bachelor of Nursing program ask for IELTS academic 7.0 each as English requirement.
